All organizations wishing to apply for a grant during the Fall 2010 funding cycle must first send a Letter of Inquiry to Program Officer, Sue Richardson, and receive permission before submitting a grant application. Unsolicited applications will NOT be accepted. Letters of Inquiry should be sent to SLSR28@yahoo.com.

Application Deadlines are subject to change at any time, and any such changes would be listed on this website. Proposals must be RECEIVED (not postmarked) by 5:00pm February 1st and August 27th (regardless of the day of the week on which it falls) in order to be considered during that particular funding cycle. Sorry, no exceptions. Requests can not be delivered in person, but must be mailed. Sorry, no exceptions. Acceptable methods are U.S. mail, Fed Ex, UPS, etc.
Receipt of all applications will be acknowledged.
Proposals are welcomed, and encouraged, to be submitted at any time after January 1st for the first funding cycle or after June 1st for the final funding cycle. If any of the listed criteria is not included, the proposal is incomplete and may not be considered. Therefore, it is suggested that applicants NOT wait until the last days of the deadline to apply, in order to allow sufficient time to make inquiries about your proposal or obtain missing materials, if necessary. Hence, it is in your best interest to apply early.
During the review process, a Foundation representative may research your request by telephone inquiry and/or site visit. The Foundation prefers to initiate site visits, if needed, and is not able to accommodate pre-application meetings with grant seekers/recipients.
If you intend to request a grant of $40,000 or more, please contact the Foundation's Program Officer, Sue Richardson before submitting your grant request
